Tie-Dye Weave Pendanr

In addition to following us on our blogs,  you can also keep track of Hayden Brook Studios on FaceBook and Twitter.  Shorter entries,  more often.  The picture you see above is our profile image at this time.  On Twitter,  our user name is haydenbrook777.  I should be moving into using these social media more in the upcoming months. Today my main focus is on beating the storm to the Philadelphia Buyers Market.  It is all going smoothly.  Hotel room?  Check!  Dog sitters?  Yup,  the best!  Design lines complete?  Check!  All is well in LaurieLand!

gipsy

Gearing up for 2010.  I feel like this gypsy.  I am exhausted… ready to go to sleep…  anywhere will do as long as Aslan is looking over me.

It is a snowy Sunday,  and for the moment I am pretty relaxed.  But,  this is not a time of year when I get to kick back.  This is the week when we set up our work for the entire year.  This coming week we will head to the Philadelphia Convention Center for the Rosen Show (AKA: Philadelphia Buyers Market). I love this show.  Love it!  We do very well there. Perfect synergy! But for now,  I need a good night of sleep so I can wake up fresh tomorrow. This is a week of intricate details…. photos,  price lists, design lines, badges, packing the booth,  setting up the display,  meeting with buyers, and calling many of the accounts we’ll need to see when we get to town. Love the Buyers Market! This week is going to be FANTASTIC! I can’t wait to see you in Philly!  You better stop by booth #226 to see our new designs.

We have also updated our website to show our new design lines.  Make sure you go poke around on the website:   haydenbrook.com

Wall Paper !

022408-2-WebbI have been having the best time looking for beautiful wallpaper for my computer. I looked for fine art, photography of landscapes and amazing animals. I was amazed at all the beauty and creativity in the world. Rivers, waterfalls, rainbows, beaches, mountains. Elephants, butterflies. Flowers. Pyramids and castles. My heart was soaring with a great love for God and the creativity He has given us (since we’re made in His image)!

As I was downloading Van Gogh,  Klee,  Chagall and many other favorites,  I thought it would be fun to have some wall paper art from people I know.  I stumbled upon some gorgeous mono-prints by Marsha Dowshen.  She is a potter whom I adore.  I am having coffee in one of her unique mugs today.  You can find her at some of the PA Guild shows that I participate in.  Go visit her web-site.
